Abstract

The labor force in August 2024 amounted to 47,789 people, a decrease of 7 people compared to August 2023. The Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) dropped by 1.03 percentage points.
The number of employed people was 46,308, an increase of 38 people compared to August 2023. The sector with the largest percentage increase in employment was the Services sector (1,941 people), while the sector with the largest decline in employment was the Agriculture sector (2,328 people).
As many as 60.63 percent of the workforce was employed in the informal sector, a decrease of 3.78 percentage points compared to August 2023.
The Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) in August 2024 was 3.10 percent, a decrease of 0.09 percentage points compared to August 2023.
