Abstract

The labor force in August 2023 was 47,796 people, a decrease of 378 individuals compared to August 2022. The Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) increased by 0.72 percentage points.
The employed population was 46,270 people, a decrease of 312 individuals compared to August 2022. The sector with the largest percentage increase in employment was the Service Sector (16,466 people), while the sector with the largest decrease was the Manufacturing Sector (5,176 people).
64.41% of individuals were engaged in informal activities, which decreased by 4.86 percentage points compared to August 2022.
The Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) in August 2023 was 3.19%, decreasing by 0.11 percentage points compared to August 2022.
