Abstract

Farmer Terms of Trade (FTT) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
FTT is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. FTT also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs. The higher the FTT, the relatively strong the farmer's level of ability / purchasing power.
The FTT of Kalimantan Utara Province in December 2021 was 108.67 or an increase of 0.73 percent compared to the FTT in November 2021. The increase in FTT was caused by changes in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) which was higher than the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib).
FTT per sub-sector of Kalimantan Utara Province in December 2021, namely the Food Crop Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPP) of 98.43; Horticultural Farmer Terms of Trade (NTPH) of 97.66 ; People Plantation Crops Terms of Trade (NTPR) is 151.79; Livestock Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPT) is 103.30 and the Fishermen and Fish Cultivators Terms of Trade (NTNP) is 104.95.
The Agricultural Household Business Terms of Trade (NTUP) of Kalimantan Utara Province in December 2021 was 111.60, an increase of 1.15 percent compared to the previous month of NTUP.
In December 2021, there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Kalimantan Utara Province by 0.68 percent, which was caused by an increase in the index in the Food, Beverage and Tobacco group by 1.16 percent.
