Abstract

The economy of North Kalimantan in 2024, measured based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices, reached IDR 146.79 trillion and GRDP per capita reached IDR 198.43 million.
The economy of North Kalimantan in 2024 grew by 4.57 percent. In terms of production, growth was driven by growth in all business categories, with the highest being achieved by the Construction business sector at 11.95 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Household Nonprofit Institution Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-LNPRT) at 11.60 percent
The economy of North Kalimantan in Quarter IV-2024 compared to Quarter IV-2023 experienced a growth of 4.66 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Construction business sector at 16.22 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Government Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-P) of 9.70 percent
The North Kalimantan Economy in Quarter IV-2024 compared to Quarter III-2024 experienced a growth of 2.76 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Government Administration, Defense and Social Security business sector of 12.24 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Government Consumption Expenditure Component of 31.81 percent
Spatially, the economic structure of the Kalimantan Island region in 2024 is dominated by East Kalimantan Province at 47.29 percent and the smallest is North Kalimantan Province at 8.09 percent. In addition to having the largest role, the economic performance of East Kalimantan Province was recorded as having the highest growth of 6.17 percent (y-on-y).
