Abstract

In January 2025, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Kalimantan Utara Province was -0.12 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.29. The highest inflation occurred in Nunukan Regency at 0.22 percent with a CPI of 103.38 and the lowest occurred in Tanjung Selor at -0.93 percent with a CPI of 103.52.
Y-on-y inflation in Kalimantan Utara Province occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.78 percent; clothing and footwear group at 4.66 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.23 percent; health group by 1.63 percent; transportation group at 0.43 percent; education group at 0.47 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.77 percent; personal care and other services group amounted to 5.79 percent. Meanwhile, the groups that experienced a decline in the index were the housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups by 12.03 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.04 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.19 percent.
Kalimantan Utara Province in January the month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate was -1.35 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate was -1.35 percent.
