In October 2021, Kalimantan Utara Province experienced inflation of 0.49 percent, Calendar Inflation of 0.85 percent and year-on-year inflation of 1.07 percent.

Abstract

Of the 90 municipalities monitored by the national CPI, in October 2021, as many as 68 municipalities experienced inflation and 22 other municipalities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Sampit Municipality at 2.06 percent while the lowest inflation occurred in Sumenep and Banyuwangi Municipality at 0.02 percent. The highest deflation was in Kendari Municipality at -0.70 percent and the lowest deflation occurred in Bengkulu Municipality at -0.02 percent.
Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) in October 2021 experienced inflation of 0.49 percent. Tarakan Municipality experienced inflation of 0.68 percent and Tanjung Selor Municipality experienced deflation of -0.30 percent.
Inflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by an increase in the index in the transportation group by 5.30 percent, in the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.04 percent, in the personal care and other services group by 0.00 percent, clothing and footwear group by 0.00 percent, education group by 0.00 percent, food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.00 percent, housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.00 percent and information, communication and financial services group by 0.00 percent. Meanwhile, deflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by a decrease in the index in the food, beverage and tobacco group by -0.36 percent, the equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by -0.18 percent and the health group by -0.04 percent.
