In September 2021, Kalimantan Utara Province experienced a deflation of -0.03 percent, Calendar Inflation of 0.36 percent and year-on-year inflation of 0.37 percent.

Abstract

Of the 90 municipalities monitored by the national CPI, in September 2021, 34 municipalities experienced inflation and 56 other municipalities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was found in Pangkal Pinang Municipality at 0.60 percent while the lowest inflation occurred in Surakarta Municipality at 0.01 percent. The highest deflation was in Gorontalo Municipality at -0.90 percent and the lowest deflation occurred in Palu Municipality at -0.01 percent.
Kalimantan Utara Province (Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality Combined) in September 2021 experienced a deflation of -0.03 percent. Tarakan Municipality experienced a deflation of -0.13 percent and Tanjung Selor Municipality experienced inflation of 0.39 percent.
Deflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality Combined) was influenced by a decrease in the index in the food, beverage and tobacco food group by -0.29 percent, the transportation group by -0.17 percent and the clothing and footwear group by -0 .03 percent. Meanwhile, inflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality Combined) was influenced by an increase in the index in the food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.74 percent, equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 0.17 percent, personal care group and other services by 0.12 percent, the housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups by 0.01 percent, the health group by 0.01 percent, the information, communication and financial services group by 0.00 percent, the recreation group, sports and culture by 0.00 percent and education group by 0.00 percent.
