Economy of Kalimantan Utara Province Quarter III-2021 2.35 percent (Q-to-Q), 5.24 percent (Y-on-Y), and 2.98 percent (C-to-C)

Abstract

Economy of Kalimantan Utara Province based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on current market prices in the third quarter of 2021 reached Rp 28.08 trillion and based on 2010 constant market prices reached Rp 15.98 trillion.
Economy of Kalimantan Utara Province in the third quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter grew by 2.35 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the Construction Business Field experienced the highest growth of 5.00 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Export Component of Goods and Services experienced the highest growth of 4.41 percent.
The economy of Kalimantan Utara Province in the third quarter of 2021 compared to the third quarter of 2020 grew by 5.24 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the Financial Services and Insurance Business Field experienced the highest growth of 9.86 percent. In terms of expenditure, the Export Component of Goods and Services experienced the highest growth of 11.46 percent.
The economy of Kalimantan Utara Province in Quarter I to III-2021 against Quarter I to III-2020 experienced a growth of 2.98 percent (c-to-c). In terms of production, the largest growth occurred in the Health Services and Social Activities Business Field of 8.46 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, all components grew, the highest growth occurred in the Export Component of Goods and Services at 6.46 percent.
Spatially, the economic growth of Kalimantan Island in the third quarter of 2021 (y-o-y) grew by 4.52 percent. The increase in growth was mainly due to the economic growth of all provinces. The highest growth occurred in Kalimantan Utara Province, which was 5.24 percent; followed by Kalimantan Selatan Province 4.82 percent; Kalimantan Barat Province by 4.60 percent; Kalimantan Timur Province by 4.51 percent; and Kalimantan Tengah Province by 3.57 percent.
