During April 2021, there was inflation of 0.55 percent in Kalimantan Utara Province.

Out of 90 municipalities on national CPI monitoring, in April 2021, 72 municipalities experienced inflation and 18 other municipalities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was found in Kotamobagu Municipality at 1.31 percent and the lowest inflation was in Yogyakarta Municipality at 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation was in Jayapura Municipality at -1.26 percent and the lowest was in Tanjung Pandan Municipality at -0.02 percent.

Inflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by an increase in the index in the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.42 percent, in the transportation group by 0.69 percent, in the personal care and other services group by 0.52 percent , the household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.01 percent, the information, communication and financial services group by 0.01 percent, the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.00 percent, the food supply group and drinks / restaurants by 0.00 percent and the education group by 0.00 percent. Meanwhile, deflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by a decrease in the index in the health group by -0.17 percent and the clothing and footwear group by -0.03 percent.

Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) in April experienced inflation of 0.55 percent. Meanwhile, Tarakan Municipality experienced an inflation of 0.73 percent and Tanjung Selor Municipality experienced a deflation of -0.15 percent.
