Abstract

  • In March 2021, the total export of commodities through ports in Kalimantan Utara Province reached US $ 102.48 million, an increase of 5.38 percent compared to the conditions in February 2021 which reached US $ 97.24 million. The export value for the January-March 2021 period reached US $ 279.04 million or decreased by 3.61 percent compared to January-March in 2020.
  • The increase in exports in March 2021 compared to February 2021 was due to an increase in the total export value of the non-oil and gas mining product group by 13.50 percent.
  • The import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in March 2021 reached US $ 6.01 million or an increase compared to imports in February 2021. When compared to the January-March 2020 period, the import value of Kalimantan Utara Province for the January-March 2021 period experienced an increase of 21.85 percent.
  • The import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in March 2021 was dominated by non-oil and gas commodities, mainly industrial products.
  • The trade balance of Kalimantan Utara Province in March 2021 was a surplus of US $ 96.47 million, an increase of 4.55 percent when compared to the trade balance in February 2021 which was a surplus of US $ 92.27 million
